The "spandex" is mearly the choice, do you have a problem with her showing a little amount of cleavage or wearing nice cute butt jeans, cause its the same thing.

Но там вообще коннотация своеобразная, он называет свою жену bride, когда намекает на постель.

А я так уже всё представила романтишно, что брайдами называют своих вайфов только старые солдаты, не знающие слов любви...Ни в одном словаре нет в значении просто жены. Только до, во время и сразу после-свадьбы, ариведерчи.
Вся надежда на Дэвида теперь. Ты согласна, что в блоге и отрывке-то явно имеют в виду жену? Я прям аж чешусь теперь от любопытства.

Ясно, что они поженились совсем недавно - не могла же София тянуть с "новостью" до тех пор, пока СиСи сам не заметит 
заинтриговало меня это слово 
, но главное в наш случай вписывается.... 
а с этим у Сиси тогда было все в порядке

Я опросила троих доступных мне американцев, в том числе нашу софанатку, живущую там -- все слышали в таком сленговом варианте. Наша Натали говорит, что чаще на годовщину свадьбу мужиков пробивает на такие *телячьи нежности*. Так что, похоже, реально употребимый американизм, хоть до словарей солидных пока и не дорос. Натали говорит, что переводила бы как "невеста" или "невестушка", но думаю, что русским "невеста" сразу другое, неверное впечатление даст. Хотя степень тошнотворности я верно угадала: что жёнушка, что невестушка -- одна хрень.
