Chrissy's Rivers Debrief 2003

Monday morning:
miss meeerrrrdddyyyy and daughter where in the lobby and some people also going to the con...
we left around 8 am....and got through traffic very fast

when we all where in the biosphere we had some coffee, before going up to register.
after registering we had the auction, they had pretty kewl stuff!!!!

Around 11.30 or something Roy strutted in with the sunnies black jacket, jeans, and shirt.....again he was soooooo gorgeous.
After the item we where bidding on got sold, Roy told us he was auctioning a little plastic ball, and a disk with pics and music on it...

The bid started at 500 cad and soon went up to 2000cad when Roy went...shiitt at 4000 he made a remark...it is only a plastic ball...

The ball went for 6500cad
After woods he sad at each table again and we talked again, he had lunch at our table, I was offering everyone a knife and fork, when I offered Roy he said, no thanks I eat with my hands....when I offered him a plate, I said do you eat with out a plate. He looked at me, then KG said or do you eat it of the table...he smirked and said Noo
I then noticed his knee touched mine....OMG and was basically only thinking of how long it would stay there.....and it stayed the most of the time he was at our table...OMG I was sooo in shock by this fact I did not even tell anyone after.. ( my deepest apologies ...not hahaha)

later when Kg offered him veggies, she asked do you eat healthy stuff? he said I try too, Kg: do you want some....RD ......No
Again we got to talk about the rivers how it all started and everything, and that the big lounge of the foundation was in august..
Roy seemed more comfy then Friday, probably cuz it was in day...and there where less people..., btw Saturday he did not sleep in. He got up at 7 am to go sailing....
after Michel(he was Pierre at the con) told him it was time to go the next table, I asked if he could some things and he did (he is soooo kewl) he singed my pillowcase, my river sweatshirt, and something for a friend of mikiniki, when every one got there things signed(including the hidden assets)
he was still sitting and I placed my Roy lighter in front of him, He asked is this a gift...I was kinda startled by this question and I answered sure if you want it, he said..no and laughed then he asked do want me to sign it, I said yes, and he did YAY

Then he got up to go to the next table, he stayed till like 3, when Michel asked us to go outside for a group photo with Roy.. YAY
Afterwards kg went up to him to ask, since you took our pictures Friday, could you look that way then look at us he said "yeah, sure"(or at least something like that)
He went to rail, and only his back showed we thought he was joking with us, when he made this unbelievable beautiful turn with his head...and we all made a pic...I was shocked I was physically able to still do anything after what just he just did.. but I made the pic and it came out beautiful

Then he left, we stayed a little while, but left shortly after as well... Another fantastic day!!!

We received our packet of information telling us when & where from Maxine right after the auction on Saturday. We couldn't tell anyone anything or we'd be cancelled so I read mine in the bathroom back in my room so my roomates wouldn't see it and ask me questions and I wouldn't have to lie!
Anyway, I met my ride Monday at 7:40 a.m. and we proceeded to make the long haul into downtown Montreal (I think).

We arrived at the Biosphere at about 9:15....it was scheduled to begin at 10:00. I was totally nervous!! Even though I'd seen him Friday!! Oh, I think I forgot to mention that I'd gotten Roy's autograph too....on a little mini tote and my badge that Friday night...plus I bought a mousepad and script with VCD (Gates of Hell) both autographed at the silent & regular auction.

The registration began at 10:00 with no Roy in sight. Halfway through he arrives and just walks in totally casual with ELECTRIC BLUE sunglasses on, black leather jacket, black jeans, black boots, faded almost not there blue jean shirt..and of course the black hat (forget the name of that thing...but not a beret).
We applaud and cheer some because the auction is still going on and Roy (I think he didn't want to distract us)walked behind the movie screen that had been set up. In short order the auction was finished and then Roy came up...and presented his favorite movie (Life Out of Balance/Koyaanisquatsi by Francis Ford Coppola)on DVD plus a small glass ball...for the auction.
He said his only request was that as many people as possible, view it. "So make copies"!!!!! he said with a big grin. I think it is all instrumental/visual...no actors....and it is his favorite....so it is MY favorite too!!!
The winning bid was $6500....!! And Roy presented it to the person personally!! How lucky was she??!!!! Very!!!! She said she is going to copy it to all who attended the Rivers Conference for sure. Can't wait to get mine. He proceeded then to sit at each table for about 15/20 minutes and visit.
At first, he seemed reluctant to eat with one of the tables he was at when lunch arrived but everyone I think was insisting, so he did. Again, how lucky was that??!!! Very!!! He finally arrived at our table...this time I was across the table from him. Rats!! I did manage to mention to him that I'd been practicing and gave him the correct pronounciation of Jen Sui.
He smiled very big and said "good job" (I think.......gees......when he smiles at you.....whewie.......you just cannot think of your own name!).....and laughed a bit too!! Oh, one of the ladies in the room had asked him to take off his glasses for a picture when he first came in and he said "No, not yet..".....I think he is really shy and has to kindof warm up to a group of people first.

I did ask him what time he got home Friday night and he said about 4:00 a.m. and then got up at 7:00 a.m.!!! I asked why and he said "to go sailing". Cool huh? Our Roy is learning to sail...and he wants to do everything himself.....someone at the table asked him.
Someone told him that his car had wrecked at the race and he said if he'd been at the wheel it wouldn't have and laughed. Apparantly, Roy had to leave at a certain time because Michel was tapping him a couple of times to get busy signing things.
I got a shirt & a movie and he personalized those for me. Then they asked us to go outside for a group photo that Michel would take since he was a professional photographer.

I WAS sitting in the front row next to Gabi....Ute's friend from Germany....but then they moved me......Roy sat BETWEEN Gabi and this gal Carol.....how lucky were they??? I'm so jealous!! I ended up in back.....but I yelled out "No touching" to them and everyone laughed...including Roy....I think...since he had put his arms around both Gabi and Carol!!
After the pictures (I think I said this in my mini debrief) some of the girls Roy had taken pictures of Friday night wanted him to pose for their pictures then and he did!! He also waved and gave quite a few gals high fives....not me....I was behind the others!! Rats!! But....I got the other shot of him by the rail....from behind....!! We all waved and yelled goodbye and he did the same as he walked away. I called out "Good Luck Sailing" and He turned and said "Thanks".
Oh, at the table, he said "Beauty will save the world"....by Peter Davoisky?.....didn't get the spelling. He said this didn't mean just outside beauty....it was from the inside.....and not just people.....but things....and actions.....etc. Kindof goes along with all the thoughts we've read him speak about....Oh, one more thing about Friday night.....after I drank Roy's soda....and it was soda, not spit!! If it was there, I'm not thinking about it....it was just leftover soda I tell you!!

I volunteered (read practically knocked poor Suzy over...sorry again there Suz!.....)to return a slip of paper with CBTS on it, etc., to Roy...as I'd spied it on the other table on my flash mission!! That meant I could see Roy one more time!! Who'd pass that up???!!! Anyway, took it up there....not wanting to intrude on that table's time....so I just stood to the side for a second....he looked up and I placed it on the table and said that he'd left that at the other table....he said "Oh, sorry"........and gave a little grin.

I dashed off...so happy!!! And, I keep forgetting things I'm so tired!! At Rivers, I though Roy was out of soda and being too nervous to ask him myself....I said something to Maxine who asked him if he needed another drink....he said "No, I'm fine".......and I SWEAR to you people......he sounded just like Michael in NOT WAS..............I could've melted on the spot!!! Oh, and someone bought a poster of the "Hard Assets" the one of the backside of Micheal in torn shorts with no undies and a rip in the cheek?
It's supposed to be his backside anyway...don't know if it really is...and they gave it to him to sign. Well, our table started "whew........." you know and he leaned back and grinned...would've been a great pic...but I wasn't fast enough...and then he looked at what we were looking at and boy did his face turn red!! He kindof ran his hands over his face and quickly put his sunglasses back on!!! So cute!!!
I think we embarrassed him...or the poster did!!
