А пока информация по новым работам, которую я вам обещала)
RTÉ Television has announced details of four new dramas for the coming season.
'Love/Hate' is a four-part series set in the Dublin underworld and stars Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gillen, Ruth Negga and Ruth Bradley.
'When Harvey Met Bob' looks at the relationship between Bob Geldof (Domhnall Gleeson) and promoter Harvey Goldsmith (Ian Hart) in the run-up to the Live Aid concerts.
Adapted by author Edna O'Brien from her novel of the same name, 'Wild Decembers' stars Owen McDonnell, Matt Ryan and Lara Belmont in "an interlocking story of land and love" in rural Ireland.
The winner of RTÉ's web drama competition 'StoryLand', 'Hardy Bucks' follows the antics of four friends in the fictional Castletown.
Also returning in the new season are 'Raw' and 'Single-Handed'.
Jane Gogan, Commissioning Editor, RTÉ TV Drama, said: "Next season RTÉ Drama will deliver a range of events that explore contemporary Irish stories as well as stories from the past.
"This year, we are bringing RTÉ viewers more drama than last, and the work of the best creative talent on screen and off, both newcomers to television and established veterans.
"In recent years we have actively developed co-productions with other broadcasters, adding inward investment to RTÉ's resources so we can increase the range of high calibre drama across the year."
Кратко. Роль в мини-сериале ( всего 4 серии) "Love\Hate" - рассказывающем о "другом мире" Дублина. Вместе с Робертом, сниматься будут - Aidan Gillen, Ruth Negga and Ruth Bradley.
First up, Lucy Beale will, overnight, suddenly completely change her appearance as actress Melissa Suffield has been asked to leave, allegedly following some boisterous teenage behaviour including nightclub naughtiness and posing in a bra and pants at the tender age of 17. This is your straightforward swap scenario, which anyone familiar with any Australian soap will quickly acclimatise to as, over on the other side of the world, it’s a completely common occurrence to wake up of a morning and note that your Mum’s got a totally different face to the one you saw just before bedtime the previous day.
Sad news, because Suffield brought quite a lot to the role and, despite some slightly clunky acting chops, bought quite a genuine stroppy teenager attitude to the part of Lucy. Even if she did, as is widely acknowledged, look a lot like comedian Jimmy Carr, to the point you couldn’t take either seriously for a long while after it was pointed out to you.
Perhaps more controversially, there are whispers that Ben Mitchell (SPOILER AHEAD!) will go to prison, and will come out a changed boy-man, in both personality and physical appearance.
Those of us who’d come to like the vaguely effeminate, musical-loving disappointment-to-his-father will be saddened that we’ve been robbed of a plot-line in which Phil has to adapt to having a gay son. Currently speculation presumes that Ben will come back a prison tattooed hardman in the mould of younger Mitchell brother, Grant – with a psychotic approach to life coming as part of the package.
But as stated, that’s pure speculation. There’s also every possibility Ben could come back in a completely different guise as we still don’t know what actor’s set to play his part, or indeed how they’ll play it.
Ben might come back an elderly wheeler-dealer type, perhaps played by David Jason? He might come back as a drug-addicted Skin, played by the kid from About a Boy who’s all grown up now. He might even come back a confirmed homosexual in the vein of BJ from gritty drama Red Riding - possibly played by current hot ticket in the acting world Robert Sheehan – all overt campness, purposefully affecting limp-wristedness in the extreme, simply to annoy his somewhat narrow-minded father in potentially explosive scenes of familial disintegration.
In fact, the latter idea would actually be fantastic.
You can have that one for free, BBC.
