Тоже искал все эти годы , наконец нашлось - исполнитель " Cadence ", название композиции -" Looking For Love " 1985 год . Также там звучит песня " What’s It Gonna Be ".

Larry, Ortolani's 1984 TV score LA PIOVRA (see jpeg) has also been released on CD (see jpeg) by Fonit Cetra (CDM 2097-3). It's a 1996 3-CD set with four TV scores from Morricone, four from Ortolani, and five from Nicola Piovani.
Here (see mp3 links) are two somber, haunting tracks from Ortolani's LA PIOVRA.
(Also released on CD - twice - is Ortolani's CONFESSIONE DI UN COMMISSARIO DI POLIZIA AL PROCURATORE DELLA REPUBBLICA.)

James McLean The Limeys. It was a coproduction between Italy, France, Germany and us, the first couple of series, anyway. Quite a good show, telling the story of ambitious policeman Corrado Catani (the awesome Michele Placido) who's packed off to Sicily to deal a hammerblow to the Mafia...but it doesn't go to plan. I remember it very well - written and directed by no less a person than Damiano Damiani. Think they should have stuck with Maestro Ortolani for the whole series, and not changed over to Ennio Morricone and Nicola Piovani, even if he had a tendency to Mickey Mouse at times...

Gianmarco Diana One of the best soundtrack works from Italian TV! Ortolani's score for Season One was great, but Morricone added something..incredible tensive, lush, orchestral sound!

John Bender Actually of the seven cues there are no "action" tracks. There are some moments of dark weight and menace - but not what I would call kinetic score for cinematic action. A stylistic / conceptual choice on Ortolani's part perhaps.

Gianmarco Diana I agree, John. For this soundtrack also Morricone uses a precise sound and a particular structure: the tempo is marked in an almost martial beat lead by kick and bass drum, then an instrument with a characteristic timbre - as the Harpsichord or the Church organ - executes the main theme and the orchestra strings running the counterpoint, in a very similar vein to that of previous work of the criminal sphere and police-movies like "Milano odia, la Polizia non può sparare", "Revolver" or "Peur sur le ville". It's strange to think that in Italy someone use the "piovroso" (that you could translate as "in the octopus style") adjective to indicate precisely these kind of productions of the Maestro.

Larry Schnake Riz is a bit like John Barry. Very little middle ground between low key and fully engaged. I can only hang my continued interest in low key scoring if a theme is intriguing enough to desire it's variations.

John Bender Took my canine best friend Pickles on a long walk from our neighborhood home all the way to downtown to meet the wife near her office building. It was too much after these winter months of being lazy. Shitty winter weather slows me down and I get out of shape - feel better now my brother, thank you! (And Pickles had a blast. We visited her favorite downtown comic book store.)

If I am to force my opinion on the matter I must submit that as good as Maestro Riz Ortolani's work was for LA PIOVRA Series One, Morricone's much more massive contributions to Series Two, Three and Four are superior.
In 2006 Rai Trade finally gave us a two-CD set featuring 41 cues of score - major cues of all three Series of LA PIOVRA that Morricone wrote for.
Here (mp3 links) is a suite of six short tracks from Ennio's LA PIOVRA work (composed between 1985 and 1989). Oh boy, if you haven't heard any of this before you are in for a real treat! EM - his genius is frighteningly consistent and fruitful! (Buy the Rai Trade CD set.)

Larry Schnake Damiano Damiani chose Riz Ortolani for season 1 because he had worked previously with him on features like "I Ho Paura". Leaves me wondering who was behind hiring Ennio Morricone for the later seasons?

Вопрос к знатокам сериала)
Никак не могу найти, что за исполнитель звучит
в Спрут 2 (4 серия) - сцена на вилле у бассейна, примерно с 6'35.
ИМХО что-то из модного тогда итало-диско, но вот кто это?)

Титульная тема из Верушки была использована в Спруте-2, как фоновая музыка в сцене когда пресс-конференция проходит где журналисты, Каттани, Сорби, Эллис, Салеми, Карризи, Камастра, Терразини и журналисты начинают осаждать провокационными вопросами...

Однако фильм страшно провалился в прокате и режиссер был по уше в долгах и также расстался с самой Верушкой в жизни (они встречались и работали с 65 по 70й год)
